These studio apartments are located closest to the campus (an 8-minute walk or 5 minutes by bicycle). They are available to any student, regardless of the length of stay. Each apartment is a Japanese-style “one-room” apartment.
Location: In addition to being close to campus, the apartments are also conveniently located near shops, restaurants, supermarkets, and bus stops. If you would like easy access to sightseeing destinations in central Japan, these apartments are about a 10-minute bicycle ride from JR Okazaki Station. This station is on the JR Tokaido Line (the main railway line connecting Osaka, Kyoto, Nagoya, Shizuoka, and Tokyo), providing convenient access to Nagoya, Kanayama, Mikawa-Anjo, the seaside and hot spring resort area of Gamagori on Mikawa Bay, and Toyohashi.
Overview
Overview: The apartments are Western-style rooms with no tatami flooring. The floors are polished wood. Each room has a floor space of 22 square meters (about 236 square feet). The bathroom includes a Western-style toilet and a unit bath. The apartments are equipped with air conditioning and heating, a large wardrobe, and a kitchen with a sink, saucepan, frying pan, and kettle. A refrigerator, two-burner gas stove, and electric rice cooker are also provided. Cooking utensils are not included, but they can be purchased inexpensively at nearby shops. The main room includes a bed, desk, chair, study lamp, and bookshelf.
Washing Machine: Washing machines are located between the Villa 3 and Villa 4 apartments and are available free of charge.
Internet: Each room is equipped with one wireless router with four 1 Gbps LAN sockets, allowing direct, free, and unlimited internet access.
Futons: Futons are not provided, but they can be rented or purchased through YAMASA. Please see “Furniture Details” on this page for more information.
