    The program can effectively improve your conversation skills in a short period of time.

    To prevent infectious disease
    31st of Jan 2020

    Currently some cases of pneumonia due to the new coronavirus have been reported in Japan.

    In order to prevent the spread of infection, we may ask new students staying at the travel restrication areas to have a medical check as a part of our admission procedure.

    If you are currently attending school, it is highly recommended to wash your hands and gargle to prevent the infection of pneumonia as well as cold and flu. If you have symptoms such as coughing or fever, be sure to contact school.

    Important notice regarding the bus from Chubu International Airport to Okazaki Station
    July 12th, 2019

    The bus from Chubu International Airport to Okazaki Station will stop the operation after August 5th, 2019. The company that runs this bus released the notice on July 5th, 2019.

    We are very sorry, but after August 5th, 2019, please use one of the following transportations to come to Okazaki. Thank you for your understanding.

    1.Yamasa Airport Pickup Service (12,000 yen) *Please make your reservation and submit payment at least one week prior to your arrival date.
    2.The Meitetsu and JR train lines (1,790 yen) *From the airport, take the Meitetsu Line to Kanayama Station and transfer to the JR Tokaidao Line to a train bound for Okazaki Station.

    Opening Period of the SCSP in 2019
    6th of February 2019

    The SCSP is a limited-time special course which has 29 lessons a week including weekly private lesson. This intensive course has received good reviews from students.
    This course was open in both summer and winter in the academic year 2018, but in the academic year 2019 it will be limited to summer. The SILAC accepts new students every Thursday throughout the year. Please feel free to contact us for more information.

    Yamasa's summer course SCSP (SILAC Comprehensive Summer Program) is a program designed to help students achieve significant improvement in their Japanese abilities in a short period of time, through a combination of comprehensive Japanese classes and private lessons that allow students to study the things that interest them. It is a course exclusive to Yamasa that we can confidently recommend. We are receiving applications for the Winter 2018-19 and Summer 2019 courses. We wholeheartedly recommend the SCSP course to anyone who wants to make use of a short holiday to rapidly improve their Japanese abilities in a limited period of time.

    SCSP course stopped accepting applicants from July 12th to August 2nd

    We are glad that we have received a lot of applications for SCSP (SILAC Comprehensive Summer Program) course. Unfortunately the number of applicants has reached the quota and we have stopped accepting any more applicants during the period below. We are suggesting that students who are thinking about SCSP course avoid the period. SILAC course is still available even during the period and we are receiving applications. We apologize for any inconvenience, but we appreciate your understanding.

It is expected that applications will concentrate just before the deadline. To smoothly and surely carry out application procedures, it is highly recommended to send necessary application documents to YAMASA as early as possible.     Subsidy for commuting expenses to homestay program will be discontinued after April 2018.

    We are glad to receive a lot of applications to our homestay program and have received good reviews. However, due to various circumstances, we have decided to suspend the subsidy of transportation expenses currently being offered to students who do home stay in distant areas from April 1, 2018. We hope you will understand this change.
