The required visa and admission procedures differ depending on the length of your studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"visa_abroad\">Student Visa [YAMASA Institute \/ Accredited Course (planned)]<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If you wish to study for six months or longer and cannot stay in Japan on a short-term stay visa (or another type of visa), you need to apply for a student visa. At YAMASA Institute, from October 2026, only the 2-Year Japanese Language and Culture Course will be eligible for student visa application. If you would like to obtain a student visa for another period, please contact us. We will use your inquiry as a reference for future course planning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-e76de83e01045aea60160000dfdbc688\" style=\"color:#dc1414\">*For applications for October 2026, we are currently applying for accreditation from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT). Depending on the progress of the accreditation process, it may be necessary to apply for a student visa and enroll through the previous certified school framework.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are four admission periods each year: April, July, October, and January.<br>Applications are generally accepted about eight months in advance. The application period differs depending on the admission term.<br>Please check the explanation and application information for the YAMASA student visa below before proceeding with your application. However, depending on your nationality, you may need to apply for one in advance. Please contact the nearest Japanese embassy and confirm what is required for your nationality to obtain a short-term stay visa.<br>This will help you make sure that your planned study abroad
