Food introduction

Japanese food is world renowned and Chubu itself is home to many different kinds of culinary delights. While home to the kinds of Japanese foods that are known by most people such as sushi, noodles (in all their varieties), and tempura, Chubu is also home to its own distinctive types of cuisine such as miso katsu and misokuni udon (which is found in Aichi), ayu sweetfish (which can be caught around gifu) to horsemeat sashimi (which is popular around the Gotemba region in Shizuoka).
