Cultural Pursuits
With a culture stretching back hundreds of years, Japan’s culture is one that is unmatched in its uniqueness and historical value.
In the same vein, the Chubu region plays host to numerous events/festivals and is home to a variety of culturally significant locations. These range from the cormorant fishing conducted around Gifu to the many green tea farms that populate Shizuoka. In addition to this, Chubu (and in particular) is also the birthplace of Tokugawa Ieyasu, the founder of the Tokugawa Shogunate which ruled Japan for nearly 200 years.
