Dalwhinnie - Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky

This whisky comes from the highest altitude distillery on Scotland. Aged slowly in wooden worm-tubs (the old way of doing it), it is smooth and subtle, with flavors of vanilla and heather/honey. The finish is a little smoky. It is an excellent whisky for finishing up for the night.

Dalwhinnie comes from a fairly young distillery, established in 1898 up in the Grampian mountains.
