Kanji for the Japanese Language Proficiency Test
"I'm going to take the JLPT this December, but am I studying the right Kanji?"
This is a question we frequently hear at Yamasa. The examination is held only once per year (first Sunday in December worldwide) and preparing for it can be frustrating and stressful - especially if you are not sure exactly what you need to study. To help our students, here we are going to provide a list of the required Kanji for each level, and to help you remember the Kanji we provide links to the animation of each Kanji character using the OCJS Online Dictionary.
The links to the files below lead you to Kanji that have been selected
directly from the Test Content Specifications for the Japanese
Language Proficiency Test. The Test Content Specifications were developed
to provide a reference for professionals producing questions for the examination
and are continually revised by the sub-committee in charge of the Japanese
Language Proficiency Test. We hope that providing this resource will help
you with your studies. (Please note that the coding for the Japanese characters
in the links below is Shift-JIS)
