Open Entry

The OCJS programs are the only Yamasa courses that are open to all. This is because the program is delivered on a one-to-one basis, and there is no visa, age, prior language study, student status or native language quota considerations.

What this means is that unlike the ACJS, anybody can commence studying today. Please note however that the focus of the program (as with all Yamasa programs) remains academic in orientation and all OCJS students will need to have a high level of motivation to learn Japanese as well as the necessary academic aptitude.

Please also note that while the curriculum is integrated with the ACJS and that you will therefore be able to transfer credits and assumed knowledge into any of the ACJS programs, you would not of course be able to join such programs unless the standard minimum entry requirements for your preferred program are met.
