Comprehensive Curriculum

The curriculum and support covers all language skills (Reading, Writing, Listening Comprehension, Conversation, Vocabulary, Kanji, and Grammar) and is being developed to encompass all levels from absolute beginner to advanced students. Please check the updates page for the latest releases.

In addition to on demand lessons from the database, the curriculum includes interaction with our teachers through the bulletin boards and through streaming media - constant exposure to modern contemporary Japanese (the OCJS makes extensive use of the facilities of Yamasa's on campus radio station)

To help students prepare for specific language environments such as a Japanese language only speaking workplace, or for examinations such as the JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) or the JETRO Business Japanese Proficiency Test, the OCJS faculty have prepared special lessons and tasks to assist your study.

The curriculum is also designed so that students studying in Okazaki can utilize the OCJS resources in a method similar to using a language laboratory - reinforcing the value of face-to-face lessons and providing valubale opportunities to review and test knowledge.
