The familiar characters of Conan Edogawa, Ran Mori and Kogoro Mori from the popular Japanese anime "Detective Conan" introduce Sapporo's children to the magnificence of China's long history and many historical relics designated as world cultural and natural heritage sites.

These enormous snow sculptures depict the Great Wall and the Clay Warriors with a War Horse from the tomb of Emperor Qin. 400 loads of snow were hauled in 5 ton trucks and about 2000 JGSDF soldiers required for construction.
