The stadium as seen from just outside the Sapporo Winter Sports Museum main entrance. The main spectator stand is to the right, positioned so that sports fans can see the glide, takeoff, flight and landing (hopefully). The flagpoles in the foreground were those used during the 1972 Olympics medal presentation - Gold: Wojciech Fortuna (Poland), Silver: Walter Steiner (Switzerland), Bronze: Rainer Schmidt (East Germany) The viewing lounge (Start House/Observatory) is the structure you can see at the top of the ramp. The large grey structure to the left of the screen is the Judging Tower, where points are awarded for style in flight (to win requires not just distance, but form), with the scoreboard further left. You can see the chairlift operation for competitors and visitors). The Operations Center is just out of sight to the left, while the restaurant & shops are out of shot to the right of the photograph, as is the Sapporo Winter Sports Museum and escalator to the parking areas.
