The left one is made from Hatcho Miso and the right one is made from Akadashi Hatcho Miso. The left one has a little bit of astringent taste. The right one has a lighter colour and is milder than the left one. Akadashi is much more preferred since it is soft and easier to cook. The top one is specially mixed with Akadashi and sugar. It is sweet and used for various dishes.
