    Tourist Attractions

Most people have a set list of things to see and do when visiting Japan. These activities may include visiting more traditional districts such as Kyoto’s Gion district (famous for its infrequently spotted geishas and maikos) and areas that are more reflective of modern Japan such as the Akihabara electrical district.

The Chubu region is also home to many distinctly Japanese attractions such as:

    • Inuyama Castle (the oldest unreconstructed castle in Japan)
    • Historical town of Gujo Hachiman (a recreation of a traditional Japanese town)
    • Ski fields of Hakuba (which was the site of the ski jumping finals at the 1998 Winter Olympics)
    • Mount Fuji (which can be found in Shiuzoka amongst other prefectures)

If you would like to find out more about what kind of places that you can visit during your time in Chubu, please check out the links below.
