The procedures change slightly depending on whether you need a student visa or not. If at any stage you do not know what to do next, or if you have any questions concerning either the enrollment process or the Institute and its programs, please do not hesitate to contact the Director of the International Office, Mr. Declan Murphy at Admissions
(A) If a Student visa IS NOT required.
(ie short courses of less than 3 months duration, or those with working holiday, spouse or other visas)
1. Read through the program catalog and select preferred course. Check application deadlines/program availability.
2. Re-Check visa requirements, especially the information regarding guarantors.
3. Complete the Online Application form.
4. Send your photographs as required. (Passport photos only unless you are doing a homestay)
5. Confirm your position in the program via program & housing fee transfer before the deadline.
6. After all tuition is paid, we will send you your Letter of Acceptance and additional
documents, usually immediately after your accommodation is allocated.
8. If you need to apply for a visa, contact your nearest Japanese Embassy or Consulate.
9. Book transport and inform us of the arrival details.
(B) If you require a Student visa.
(ie for courses of 6 months duration or more)
1. Select the program/schedule that suits your needs best. Check deadlines and entry requirements.
2. Review student housing options, contact Admissions for price quotes if required.
3. Read through visa and guarantor information carefully.
4. Complete Program Application Form.
5. Complete and return Student Visa application kit.
6. Pay 21,000 Yen Application Fee
7. Wait for notification of result of visa application.
8. After visa approval notification, confirm your position in the program via program & housing fee transfer.
9. After fee transfer is confirmed, we will send you your
certificate of eligibility and other documents. Take these to
your nearest Japanese Embassy or Consulate and obtain student visa stamp in your passport.
10. Book transport and inform us of the arrival details.
