ASJP - Program Holidays

The AJSP is an intensive program. Even so, you do get to take a break from the books every now and then. There are no weekend classes scheduled. Longer term students can also enjoy the term (quarter) breaks.

Breaks between Quarters - October 2001 to March 2003

Autumn Break 2002: SEP/26-OCT/06
Winter Break 2002-3: DEC/21-JAN/06
Spring Break 2003: MAR/21-APR/06
Summer Break 2003: JUN/27-JUL/02
Obon Festival 2003: AUG/13-15
Autumn Break 2003: SEP/27-OCT/05
Winter Break 2003-4: DEC/27-JAN/05
Spring Break 2004: MAR/27-To be confirmed

Winter 2003: JAN/13, FEB/11, MAR/21

*Japan has a large number of public holidays. The dates listed in the "Holidays" are public holidays occurring on weekdays. The only exception is the 5 day break in August (the Obon festival). As all weekends are holidays they have not been listed.

As Yamasa is located in central Japan, you will find it relatively easy and inexpensive to travel throughout the main regions of Japan between Tokyo and the Kansai (Osaka/Kobe) areas. For more details regarding travel please read the Location files.
