Compared to most Japanese educational institutions one of Yamasa's unusual features is the increasingly extensive use of online learning aids and self-testing. A sample of these tests can be accessed below. But please note firstly that very few of these are purchased 'off-the-shelf' - they are developed in Yamasa's Multimedia Studio and have several distinctive features. Please click here for details.
Most of the online learning aids remain in Yamasa's password protected Student Network. However so that you can sample what some of these tests and aids are like we have provided one online test for you here. The first question is at level 4 of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT4). If you select the correct answer to each question, the degree of difficulty will steadily increase. Each time you select the incorrect answer, the degree of difficulty will be reduced. Unfortunately though in this sample, the questions do not go below JLPT4 - so you may struggle if you are a beginner.
A free evaluation of your Japanese level will be provided afterwards. Please note that to do this test you will need to be able to read hiragana and katakana and have some Kanji (again equivalent to at least Level 4 of the JLPT).
