Office</a> da Yamasa. <p> <b>Jon:</b> Como eu trabalho com você no mesmo escritório, e você freqüentemente oferece ajuda aos alunos quando eles têm dúvidas e etc, pensei em entrevistá-lo para o Informativo desta semana. <br> <b>Kato:</b> Ok, mas estou indo fazer cooper em um minuto, então você pode ser breve? <p> <b>J:</b> Sem problemas, estará terminado antes que você possa dizer 'owatta'..... <br> <b>K:</b> Bom. <p> <b>J:</b> Quando eu era um aluno estudando na Yamasa, nas raras vezes que eu criava coragem para me aventurar dentro do International Office e falar com o misterioso <a href="../../../../member/declan/index1.html" target="new">barbudo</a>, lembro-me de ver essa pessoa, silenciosamente teclando no seu computador - eu não fazia a menor idéia de quem você era, de onde viera, e o que estava fazendo aqui. Tenho certeza que muitos dos alunos sentem o mesmo quando vêm aqui - poderia dizer a essas pessoas o que você faz? <br> <b>K:</b> Meu título oficial é Vice-presidente de planejamento, mas também sou o oficial de relações entre a Yamasa e outras organizações, como a prefeitura da cidade de Okazaki. Além disso, sou o gerente de marketing, então sou responsável pela comunicação com os escritórios e parceiros da Yamasa no exterior. Eu também geralmente viajo pra fora. <p> <b>J:</b> Você soa como uma pessoa que já viajou bastante. <br> <b>K:</b> É umas das vantagens do trabalho.... <p> <b>J:</b> Onde mais você já esteve? <br> <b>K:</b> A trabalho?<br> <b>J:</b> Não, lazer.<br> <b>K:</b> Passei um total de 14 meses na Austrália, 6 meses na Índia, e 2 meses na Nova Zelândia. <br> <b>J:</b> O que você esteve fazendo na Austrália?<br> <b>K:</b> Foi a alguns anos atrás, mas quando eu estava em Sidney durante um feriado de trabalho, estava vendendo 'ikagawashi'? <br> <b>J:</b> O que é 'ikagawashi'?<br> <b>K:</b> Coisas.........O emprego onde eu trabalhava vendia Koalas de pelúcia de Taiwan, e Cangurus da China, dentre outras coisas, e parte do meu trabalho era de cortar fora a etiqueta que dizia 'Made in Taiwan', ou 'Made in China'. <br> <b>J:</b> Então os turistas na Austrália compravam os brinquedos pensando que eles eram feitos em Oz? <br> <b>K:</b> Certo.<br> <b>J:</b> Soa bem duvidoso pra mim..... <br> <b>K:</b> Também tentei vender "comida saudável" da China.<br> <b>J:</b> Você tentou?<br> <b>K:</b> Pra falar a verdade vendeu muito bem! <p> <b>J:</b> Então você teve muitos trabalhos diferentes, antes de começar a trabalhar pra Yamasa? <br> <b>K:</b> Sim, é correto, sou um pula-empregos, gosto de me mover por aí, viajando de um país a outro, experienciando culturas diferentes. <p> <b>J:</b> Você não se parece com um típico japonês, quando você estava viajando, as pessoas confundiam você com alguém de outro país? <br> <b>K:</b> Quando eu estava no Nepal, as pessoas me confundiam com um nepalês, na Índia, confundiam com um hindu, e na Síria, com um americano! <br> <b>J:</b> Posso entender os dois primeiros, mas confundido com um americano? <br> <b>K:</b> Estive na Síria em 1998, quando a América estava freqüentemente nos noticiários, então essa pode ter sido a razão. <p> <b>J:</b> A Síria foi seu lugar favorito, então?<br> <b>K:</b> Não, meu lugar favorito na verdade é o International Office!<br> <b>J:</b> 'Uso'!<br> <b>K:</b> Bem, com um empurrão, eu teria que escolher a Índia acima do I.O. <br> <b>J:</b> Por quê a Índia?<br> <b>K:</b> Porque é diferente. Já estive em mais de 20 países, e achei que apenas a Índia foi diferente. <br> <b>J:</b> Diferente de que forma?<br> <b>K:</b> Utilizando experiências passadas, minhas experiências anteriores de viagem, para me virar na Índia elas não foram de utilidade, nada foi como eu esperava, e tive que aprender muitas coisas novas - gostei por isso. <p> <b>J:</b> Você está planejando viajar novamente em breve?<br> <b>K:</b> Depois de terminar de trabalhar para a Yamasa, vou dirigir-me ao sul.... gosto de lugares quentes.... <br> <b>J:</b> O Japão não é quente o suficiente pra você?<br> <b>K:</b> É suficientemente quente, mas úmido demais durante o verão..... .<br> <b>J:</b> Bem, vou deixá-lo voltar ao seu cooper.
