Difícil de resumir; é um bom desafio, pra falar a verdade! </FONT></P> <P><FONT face="Times New Roman"> <STRONG>J:</STRONG> Como você se tornou uma professora do centro online? <BR> <STRONG>E:</STRONG> Tenho interesse em comunicação internacional, e estava procurando um emprego onde eu pudesse me comunicar com pessoas de outros países. <BR> <BR><STRONG>J:</STRONG> Ouvi dizer que você fala inglês fluentemente...<BR> <STRONG>E:&nbsp;</STRONG> Ainda não sou tão fluente, mas posso me virar bem. Fiz um mestrado em Comunicação Internacional, e para minha tese andei pesquisando pessoas jovens sem-teto em Londres. Vivi no Reino Unido inicialmente por 5 meses; 2 meses em Cambridge e 3 meses em Londres. Estudei na mesma escola de ensino de Japonês que a Suzuki Sensei (Coordenadora do Silac), mas não na mesma época. Depois disso, voltei ao Reino Unido a cada 3 ou 4 meses, por 10 dias ou 2 semanas, para fazer pesquisas para minha tese; entrevistas com pessoas sem-teto. </FONT></P> <P><FONT face="Times New Roman"> <STRONG>J: </STRONG>O que você pensou sobre os sem-teto? <BR> <STRONG>E: </STRONG>Eles foram muito legais. Todos tinham um sonho de trabalhar ou estudar, para melhorar suas vidas, o que não era possível devido a problemas financeiros ou familiares. <BR> <BR><STRONG>J:</STRONG> Você tem alguma estória interessante sobre a vida no Reino Unido? <BR> <STRONG>E:</STRONG> No meu primeiro dia lá, cheguei na Victoria Station em Londres, após um longo vôo do Japão, que incluiu uma parada de 7 horas na Cingapura, então eu queria tomar um banho. Na estação de trem Victoria, perguntei no departamento de bagagens se havia algum chuveiro por ali. Eles disseram que havia um chuveiro próximo ao toalete. Como minha toalha estava na minha mala, pedi também por uma toalha, e tive que pagar um depósito de 5 libras esterlíneas. Tomei um banho e devolvi a toalha, mas não recebi meu depósito de volta. Perguntei a eles sobre isso, mas como eu estava cansada e não queria criar uma confusão, simplesmente fui embora. <BR><BR> <STRONG>J: </STRONG>5 libras por um banho, isso é bem caro! <BR> <STRONG>E: </STRONG>Outra vez fui ao Leicester Square's Empire Theatre para assistir o filme 'Sliding Doors'. Antes que eu entrasse no cinema, vi algumas mulheres se aproximando de estrangeiros e entregando-lhes flores a alguns papéis. Uma senhora se aproximou de mim e começou a conversar sobre religião, ou algo assim, e entregou-me algumas flores e tal. Depois ela me pediu algum dinheiro. Dei a ela uma moeda de uma libra, mas ela se recusou a pegá-la e disse, 'apenas notas'. Como eu não tinha uma nota de 5 libras, dei a ela 10 libras (aproximadamente 1,700 Yen). 'Deus a abençoe! Deus a abençoe!', disse ela. Eu ia freqüentemente ao Leicester Square, mas depois disso soube que não deveria aceitar as flores que eles oferecem. <BR> </FONT><FONT face="Times New Roman"><BR> <STRONG>J:</STRONG> Depois de todas essas experiências, o que você acha do Reino Unido? <BR> <STRONG>E:</STRONG> Adorei. Pra mim, os britânicos <FONT size=2><FONT size=3>geralmente mantêm uma certa distância dos outros, mas isso não quer dizer que eles ignoram </FONT> </FONT><FONT size=+0> os outros. Se alguma vez eu tive problemas, eles sempre me deram uma mão em ajuda. A pior coisa sobre lá foram os preços.... </FONT></FONT></P> <P><FONT face="Times New Roman"><FONT size=+0> <STRONG>J:</STRONG> As coisas podem tornar-se caras, se você fica distribuindo dinheiro aos outros! <BR> <STRONG>E: </STRONG> Eu só fiz isso uma ou duas vezes. Sério, tudo é tão caro! Mas achei que o Tesco's (supermercado) era ótimo - muito barato. Talvez eu vá viver no Reino Unido algum dia...... </FONT></FONT></P> <P><FONT face="Times New Roman"> <STRONG>J:</STRONG> Certo, seguindo adiante....... Quando você não está trabalhando como uma escrava, o que você faz nas horas livres? <BR> </FONT><FONT face="Times New Roman"> <STRONG>E: </STRONG>Gosto de assistir filmes, especialmente os britânicos. Um dos meus favoritos é Trainspotting, mas o meu predileto mesmo é Cinema Paradiso. Também gosto de escrever, e prefiro manter o contato com meus amigos através de cartas, ao invés de email, pois acho que uma carta escrita à mão é muito mais pessoal do que algo digitado num computador. </FONT></P> <P><FONT face="Times New Roman"> <STRONG>J:&nbsp;</STRONG> E seus planos futuros? <BR> <STRONG>E: </STRONG>Faz somente três meses que entrei para a equipe, então ainda não pensei muito além do ano acadêmico inicial do OCJS. Futuramente, no entanto, gostaria de me tornar uma professora que não somente cuida da instrução durante os horários de aula, mas que também dá assistência na pesquisa e desenvolvimento de projetos acadêmicos de estudantes individuais, fora da sala de aula.
