Introduction:
The Aichi Center for Japanese Studies offers residential Japanese language education in Okazaki. A position is available for an energetic and enthusiastic individual with excellent language and organisational skills to manage the Admissions Office of the ACJS. The work will involve managing part time staff, interacting with administration staff of the Yamasa Institute and students, overseeing and tracking applications to the ACJS, ensuring absolute satisfaction amongst our students both during the application process and while studying at the ACJS, liasing with partners overseas and ensuring the smooth running of the Admissions Office.
Computer Skills:
The Admissions Coordinator will require knowledge of basic Internet programming technologies (HTML, use of Lotus Domino), be able to use both Windows and Macintosh environments, and be absolutely comfortable with using a Japanese OS computer.
Education Background:
The Coordinator should have as a minimum a Bachelor's degree, a confidence inspiring transcript for that degree, a minimum of 6 months of study and/or internship at the Center as a student, and conversational fluency in Japanese. You need to have native speaker level command of the English language. It is preferable but not essential that you also have daily conversational fluency in at least one of the following foreign languages - Chinese, German, Korean or Spanish. It is vital that you be able to write clear and concise prose; knowledge of the Japanese Visa and Immigration System would be an advantage.

Salary and Conditions:
Salary is negotiable and will be determined according to background and experience. A bonus would be payable after completion of 12 months. The position comes with all national holidays and ten days paid annual leave in the first year.
