This is an on-going work-study position. The is usually only 1 position available at any given time. All applications should include a proposed SILAC start date. Introduction:

The Multimedia studio is offering a full-time internship involving video production, editing and web publishing of interactive guides. The position is for 3 months. Anybody who meets the Entry Requirements of the Aichi Center for Japanese Studies for a 4 week SILAC program is eligible to apply. The applicant should be a native speaker of English, Chinese, German, Korean or Spanish. If you are not a native speaker of English, then you should have proficiency in English to TOEFL 500+ or equivalent, or in Japanese to JLPT Level 3 or equivalent.

Computer Skills:

The applicant should be familiar with Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of video editing or multimedia is not required as training will be provided.

Education Background:

No specific requirements, other than meeting the Entry Requirements of the SILAC program.

Travel:

Overnight travel is not required, although the intern may be required to make day trips with staff members during Discovery tours as a general assistant or photographer.

Salary and Conditions:

The position requires full time studies in the SILAC program for 4 weeks with part-time work in the International Office for 4 hours per day. This will be followed by 8 weeks of full-time work experience in the International Office. There is no salary for this position. However the student will have their accommodation paid for them for 12 weeks, their tuition refunded in full at the end of the internship, and a stipend of 100,000 yen to assist with living expenses for the 3 months. The stipend will be paid in 50,000 yen units at the end of 4 and 8 weeks respectively.
