Online resources for Japanese

No list of links would be complete without the following two URLs. In fact, if you have them, you probably don't need any other links. They are:

Jim Breen's homepage: http://www.rdt.monash.edu.au/~jwb/japanese.html
- information on other links, organizations, and his own EDICT dictionary project. Monash University in Australia has one of the best collections of material related to the Japanese language on their ftp archive - see the index from http://ftp.cc.monash.edu.au/pub/nihongo/00INDEX.html (automatically updated HTML page).

Another online dictionary is on Steve Trussell's page at http://www.trussel.com/f_nih.htm - also includes information about prehistoric Japan if that's what you like.

A good online collection is Keiko Schneider's homepage. This can be found at http://www.sabotenweb.com/bookmarks/
