Doburoku being poured by a shrine maiden during the Doburoku Festival in Shirakawa-go in rural Gifu Prefecture. A slightly sweet, practically home brewed sake, it has the texture of porridge, but if consumed in reasonal quantity has considerable potency. The festival takes place on the 14th & 15th of October each year.
