New classroom construction on the second floor of Aoi Hall. These will be the reinforcements for the internal walls. When these rooms are completed, the second floor of Aoi Hall will have 9 standard classrooms, 4 seminar classrooms, 6 small classrooms, a large faculty office to support both SILAC and AIJP teaching teams, and a computer room. The ground floor is unchanged, with the distance learning theater, common/recreation room, a new CALL classroom, and extensive office space including the International Office, Admissions Office, Multimedia Studio and Yamasa's radio station - "FM Okazaki".

The construction schedule is very tight. SILAC is taught year round, so on September 23rd we moved SILAC to the YAMASA II building during the AIJP summer quarter graduation ceremony, and as soon as the ceremony was completed sent the work teams in. Construction is due to be completed Thursday October 5th 2006, the day before AIJP commencement, with SILAC classes moving back to the Hall on Friday.
