Hattori Foundation Fellowships

SUMMARY: The Hattori Foundation Fellowships are specifically aimed at assisting students who are graduating (or have recently graduated) from university and are aiming for postgraduate study in a Japanese graduate school. The aim of the fellowship program is to enable academically gifted students with an upper intermediate level of Japanese to prepare for graduate school without being burdened by high financial costs.

Applicants are advised that competition for the available Fellowships is extremely strong and that the support of Japanese language faculty at your current university or alma mater is considered absolutely essential.

Selection of Fellowship recipients is made purely on the basis of academic ability, financial status and character references. The Hattori Foundation does not discriminate on the basis of age, gender or nationality.
