S.I.L.A.C. - Fees and Costs

The low cost location, non-profit status and long-term financial support provided by the Hattori Foundation enables Yamasa to provide the SILAC programs at cost price to international students.

There are no application fees for students enrolling in SILAC programs. There is a late fee of 10,500 yen for applicants submitting applications after the posted deadline.

As you can see from the table above, it is considerably cheaper (especially for longer term stays) if you pay all tuition in advance. This is because the administrative costs are lower, and these cost savings are passed onto you. If you pay for 6 weeks or more in advance and then need to shorten your stay, there is a full refund subject to the policies outlined in the "Refunds" file.
