Program - Faculty

The study component of the internship program is taught exclusively by the JBPP faculty, part of the Yamasa's OCJS. All of the teachers are highly qualified (usually Masters degree or higher), are native speakers of Japanese, and highly experienced professional teachers of Japanese as a foreign language. All of these instructors also have business experience to help you prepare for your placement.

Yamasa's faculty members work as a team to provide considerable variety, although one faculty member will be designated as academic advisor for your class. Yamasa's faculty is one of the most experienced in Japan. In addition to many years of experience, virtually all of the faculty have overseas teaching experience and a world outlook considered unusual in Japan.

A key advantage results from the fact that Yamasa's JBPP is all offered all year round by permananet staff. By contrast, many short courses offered by universities and institutes in Japan are offered only in the summer, or at certain times of the year, with all instruction provided by teachers on casual contracts.
