Japan Discovery - Class Formats

The program is being offered in two teaching formats, as well as the "tour only" format. The reason we use several formats is so that we can offer a greater range of options, ensuring that you can choose not only the level of intensity, but also the curriculum itself for faster learning and more challenging classes for all students.

(1) Small group class: Yamasa's popular and well known JLCP format has 12 classes per week, with a maximum class size of 8 students - 12 students less than the maximum class size required by the regulating body - plus a cultural seminar (3-4 hours) and a full day field trip each week.

Small group classes start at 9.00am and finish at 1.30pm on weekdays.

OR

(2) Private - 18 classes/week Format: This format provides 18 classes per week, with a maximum of 4 per day. The curriculum is completely customized, your advisor will design the curriculum with you so it meets your specific needs. As a general rule, classes will commence at 9am, usually finishing no later than 2:30pm.
