Yamasa's campus is located in the mostly residential suburb of Hane-cho. This location also offers excellent advantages. Please remember that success in learning Japanese will depend not only on the facilities, faculty, classroom instruction and private study, but also on the environment in which you live. In Okazaki City your higher standard of living will make it easier to learn, and more enjoyable while you do. Please note that the maps are clickable. You can navigate using the arrows on the map boarders, and you can click on some of the map features for more detail. At the moment the clickable map section only covers approximately 1.5% of Okazaki City's area. Okazaki has about 370,000 people and is larger than many visitor's first impressions. Please note that this section is being steadily expanded. We are just a 5-7 minute walk from the main JR (Japan Railways) Okazaki railway station on the Tokaido Line (the main line between Tokyo and Osaka) - which is also the junction for the Aichi Kanjo line to Toyota and Seto). Restaurants, banks, historic temples, peaceful parks such as Minami Koen, major shopping centers, Minami Hospital and all Student Accommodation options are within easy walking distance. Bicycles are the best form of transportation, but you never have far to go to reach a bus-stop.
