If a student is arriving by train, we can meet them at JR (Japan Railways) Okazaki station. This station is a key stop on the Tokaido line (the main line between Tokyo and Osaka) and all the express trains running between Shizuoka and Gifu Prefectures stop here. It is also where the Aichi Kanjo line connects with the Tokaido line.
Many of Yamasa's staff have family and children so are not on call 24 hours a day. Therefore, we need to know at least 7 days in advance when a student is going to arrive at JR Okazaki, especially if they plan to arrive at weekends or late in the evening. We are normally not able to provide a pickup from JR Okazaki later than 10:30pm or on Sunday's. When a student arrives at the station they will need to call us on 0564-55-8111. Tell them that when they leave the ticket gate at JR Okazaki station, they should turn right (east exit) and head to the end of the hall. There are telephones on the right hand side at the end of the hall. After they call us they can wait near the taxi area. They will know that they are in the right place if they can see the Circle K convenience store directly opposite. We will meet them within approximately 10 minutes.
