There are 4 start dates available during the year. Only public holidays affecting the schedule are those for the New Year session (late December/early January).
The program commences at 9am on May 26th, June 16th, July 7th and December 8th respectively, with the initial day dedicated to placement testing, placement interviews, orientation and campus tour. Please arrive either 1 or 2 days prior to commencement. If crossing 6 time zones or more, we advise arrival 2 days prior. Please click here for arrival information). Participants can opt for a free airport transfer (using airport limousine, with cost reimbursed in full by Yamasa) or for an airport pickup (includes fee for partial cost recovery). Notes: 1) There are field trips scheduled during the program. No extra fee is required for these trips. The program fee includes all admissions, transport, accommodation where required, breakfast and evening meals on the overnight trips. 2) With the exception of the late December/early January break (Friday December 30th to Wednesday January 4th), there are no public holidays observed during the program, and no classes scheduled for weekends. Monday August 15th is a holiday, due to the Obon festival, and to provide a recovery day from the field trip taking place (also Obon festival related) the previous 3 days. There are also optional trips that are available on almost all weekends. These are advertized on the Weekend Tour Schedule website as well as on the bulletin boards in Aoi Hall on the Yamasa campus. The annual Mount Fuji climb is on July 30th-31st 2011. On the right hand side of this page there are links to each feature of this program.
