How to select the right program for you.

Choosing the right program is essential if you are going to get the most out of your studies. Yamasa understands that no two students require the same experience, and in order to provide opportunity and choice we try to design quality programs that have different characteristics. We also try to provide as wide a range of start/finish dates as possible, although we are of course unable to expand the number of start dates if it affects quality - which always remains the number one consideration at Yamasa.

Please choose from the links below for information about the options available to you:

A: How long do you want to study for?

B: What time of year would you like to study?

C: How do you want to study?

D: Other combinations:

If you would like personal assistance to help make your choice, please write to Mr. Declan Murphy at Admissions for advice. Please include as much of the following information in your email as you can:

  • Possible start date of studies (approximate is fine)
  • Possible duration of studies (approximate is fine)
  • Present level of Japanese (approximate hours of study/proficiency tests taken/passed/failed, etc.)
  • Aim of studies (areas of language you want to focus on, preparation for graduate school/university/work etc.)
  • Your nationality (to help explain visa issues)
