1 or 2 week Mini Course

A short, affordable, flexible program. Enjoy a holiday with a difference!

Available for either 1 or 2 weeks duration, this short program provides the opportunity to enjoy a short language learning holiday, experience living in Japan, and see the local sites, all for less than 10,000 yen per day (currency converter).

You can check in on a Saturday, enjoy self paced lessons with personal attention, eat lunch each day with experienced language instructors & staff, meet students and staff from around the world, live in the Student Village and take a tour of some of Okazaki's interesting local sites such as heritage listed temples (some are over 1000 years old) or tours of modern manufacturing plants such as those of Toyota Motor Corporation. Combine it with a Japan Rail pass and you can customize the perfect educational holiday.

Schedule

The program starts on almost all Saturdays (see application form), though it is also possible to check in on a Friday at no extra cost. Upon check in you receive a local area map and guide, plus instructions for where to be on Monday and how to get there, who your instructor will be, and all emergency contact details etc. You then receive a free transfer to the accommodations.
Sunday is a rest day. From Monday through to Thursday (regardless of any public holidays), classes begin at 10am. There are 2 private classes of 50 minutes each, and a 90 minute semi-private class, that also includes lunch with your teacher. The semi-private class is focused on conversation. The private classes can be completely customized to your personal interests. The maximum size of the semi-private class is just 3 students. On Friday morning at 9am you will be picked up from your accommodation and taken on a tour. The tour is often to remote locations which are usually very difficult for travellers to visit such as some of the mountaintop temples, sake breweries and senmaida, and it also includes lunch.
