Discovery - Program Dates - Option B

This is a unique study-tour-study combination. Within a total time frame of up to 12 weeks, you can start a program of intensive study, take time out for the 10 or 12 day tour of your preference, and then recommence studies. It is the only program of its kind in Japan. Yamasa offers this new option so that students who are particularly interested in visiting destinations such as the Gion Festival in Kyoto or Fire Festival at Nachi in Kii Katsuura (both in July), or the famous Sapporo Snow Festival in February, can do so and still enjoy full flexibility with the study options.

Compared to study/tour programs offered elsewhere in Japan (or anywhere else in the world), Yamasa's Discovery Option B offers several advantages:

  • This is the only study-tour-study program in Japan.
  • You can still vary the length of the study component (schedule flexibility)
  • There is a safe deferral/refund policy in case you need to change schedules (security)
  • There are a minimum of 7 class levels available (including beginner levels all year round)
  • The program itself is offered all year (professional career faculty, not seasonal teachers)
  • Access to OCJS learning continues for 1 year after completion
  • Tour Group size is small (off-season average is 5, peak season average is 9)
  • Full 24 x 7 support in your studies, accommodation, welfare and safety
  • Free internet access, airport pickup/transfer, after-program travel booking service

Please click on the links below to see the range of program start dates. The links include not only the schedule but information about the destinations for each tour.

Note - All dates in the table below are "month/day" - ie APRIL 18 is written 04/18.

Option B: (Study then 10 or 12 Day Tour then Study combination)
