Introduction:
To succeed in Japanese business and in professional networks, the ability to speak and understand spoken Japanese is not enough, regardless of whether you have attained Level 1/N1 of the JLPT or not. Similarly, the acquisition alone of the specialized vocabulary of your profession is not enough.
Designed to help you learn appropriate Japanese for a wide range of negotiation and management situations, give you full command of keigo, both in terms of face-to-face and telephone skills, and through intensive role playing exercises give you the confidence you need to operate successfully in a professional Japanese language speaking workplace or environment. All lessons are conducted entirely in Japanese, with a specifically designed preparation curriculum (known as the "yobi course") available for those who need extra review.
The maximum class size is 6, the program fee includes all tuition, learning materials, seminars and field trips. All interview exercises are video recorded to improve feedback and review. All participants in the program receive individual attention from instructors.
The classrooms are modern. Participants in the program are advised to bring a computer with them (PCs may also be rented). Some business experience (either in Japan or in your own or a 3rd country) is helpful, but is not a pre-requisite for participation in the JBPP.

Outline: The curriculum is available in 3 formats:
Format 1 - JBPP Intensive: Designed to bring about the greatest possible improvement in proficiency as quickly as possible, this is a very intensive, full-time format involving 25 class per week modules. Maximum class size is 6 (for private lessons, please refer to Format 3). You can choose the length of study. The minimum length of study is 2 weeks, and in this format, the maximum is 6 weeks. It is possible to complete the curriculum in 6 weeks, and if you successfully complete the 150 hours of instruction (not including time for preparation, homework, assignments and review) you will have almost no linguistic difficulties operating in a Japanese language speaking business or other professional environment in Japan. Before each start date, there is a 2 week preparation course available, and regardless of your current level, we do recommend taking this additional module.
Format 3 - JBPP/AIJP-AJSP: This option is available quarterly, and is designed to provide students in the AIJP/AJSP programs with the opportunity to study business Japanese while making use of the student visa. It is also possible to enroll in this option for 1 quarter (3 months) only using a temporary visitor or other suitable visa. The format includes 20 group based lessons in the normal AIJP/AJSP curriculum, with an additional 5 classes per week of JBPP, taken instead of the usual elective classes. This is less intensive than the Format 1 JBPP Intensive format, however it is still not recommended for anyone who needs to continue working during the program.
Format 3 - JBPP On Demand: From Spring 2013, the entire JBPP curriculum will be available on-demand. You may start whenever you choose, and take the course on site at Yamasa's Aichi Center in Okazaki, or have the program provided on the site of your choice - initially this option will be limited to locations in Osaka, Kyoto, Mie, Aichi, Shizuoka, Kanagawa, Tokyo, Saitama, Chiba or Ibaraki prefectures. The fee for off-campus delivery is available on a quotation basis. The fee for delivery on-campus is fixed and assumes private lessons. If your company or organization wishes to enroll more than 1 customer, then a lower unit fee can be provided via quotation.
