Multimedia Studio

Located in Aoi Hall, the studio hosts some of the Institute's key supporting infrastructure.

The studio contains some development projects managed by the International Office and the Radio Station. A large proportion of yamasa.org and the associated support websites, dtp publications, online learning resources etc are constructed or maintained here. The technical support for the Online Center for Japanese Studies - particularly development of the increasingly massive streaming audio and video archive is managed by the studio.

The studio is of course well wired and laptops are easily connected. All networks operate at high speed. All of the support staff are full time. Yamasa is the only Japanese language institute with these services.

Quite a few students do short internships or work part-time in the studio. A large part of this homepage was written by students using the center and a significant part of the translation and web development of online learning systems is done by students in the advanced classes.
