J.R. Okazaki Station

JR (Japan Railways) Okazaki station is a key stop on the Tokaido line (the main line between Tokyo and Osaka) and all the express trains running between Shizuoka and Gifu Prefectures stop here.

jr okazaki station

All JR tickets can be purchased/booked here. It is also where the Aichi Kanjo line connects with the Tokaido line so it is convenient for travel to Toyota or Seto.

The Airport limousine bus also departs/terminates from JR Okazaki - so if you need to go to the airport during or after your course it is easy to get there (1700 yen one way - pay bus fare at end of journey)

For visits to Nagoya, day-trips throughout central Japan or longer tours, the station is usually the quickest and most convenient starting point. From here to Nagoya is 28 minutes using the limited Express. To Toyohashi it is approximately 20 minutes (change to Shinkansen or Iida line). The coastal resort of Gamagori is only 15 minutes away by local (all stops) train.
