The Housing officer coordinates both the apartment and dormitory capacity as well as the homestay and homevisit program. This includes allocation of rooms, and in the case of shared accommodation - room mates, manageing the check-in and check-out procedures (such as what to do with your key if you are checking out at 5am for an early flight etc), arranging futon rental/purchase and placement, and collects all feedback. Maintenance Officer Around 600 students pass through Yamasa's accommodation each academic year. In order to ensure a high standard of living, the accommodation facilities are carefully maintained, with continual inspection and scheduled repair. We have a full-time maintenance officer, looking after the facilities and organizing any repairs and improvements required. Please come to the Housing Office if there is anything in your room that needs to be cleaned, repaired or replaced. Caretaker As the Student Village is centrally located, and is also the largest accommodation facility, Yamasa has a full-time resident caretaker living in a 2DK apartment on the ground floor of the village. The caretaker lives in the Manager's apartment and has an internal phone. The caretaker is there to ensure safety, and is not a janitor, nor responsible for cleaning (cleaning and hygiene is the resident's responsibility).

Responding to these needs isn't easy, but it is essential that it be professionally handled so that your housing needs are met and you can concentrate of successful study.
The reason we have a full-time team is also to ensure safety, especially ensuring that during evenings and weekends there is an experienced staff member who is a native speaker of Japanese on hand to immediately handle any emergencies such as:
along with any questions you might have regarding the
All students also receive additional emergency "after hours" contact numbers. These are distributed during the Student Housing Orientation that takes place after you complete your placement test at the beginning of your course/program.
