Messages from Housing Office:

Off campus apartments: During peak periods, a substantial number of apartments and other off campus rooms are booked to accommodate our students if & when our own resources are temporarily insufficient. Anyone who has a program application accepted, either by the database or Admissions Office personnel is guaranteed accommodation provided tuition fees are paid by the relevant deadline.

Confirmation of allocation type and room number: Room allocation is usually known 2-4 weeks prior to your arrival. In summer & February-March, course extensions by current students often mean that final room allocation isn't known until 10-12 days before your program start.

List all 5 preferences: It is important to list 5 preferences when completing the application form. This is because when allocating your accommodation the Housing Office needs to be able to default to your second preference if your first is not available, or to your 3rd, 4th etc as the case may be. Rooms cannot be left empty while waiting for your arrival unless paid for, as it would then be impossible to keep the rents at the current below market prices.
